Well it has indeed been a fun day. We pretty much launched the site today and got some good tweets on the go trying to find out more about The Secret Footballer.
Robbie Savage had a good old tweet about us this morning before putting out a dogged performance against Adel Taraabt and his QPR side, denying them promotion to the Premiership for just a little while longer. We also had a positive reaction from The Guardian’s sports editor, Ian Prior, who tweeted “Loving this: a whole website dedicated to unmasking @TSFguardian http://bit.ly/fRpY6r“.
We managed to rule out a few more players: Robbie Savage, Michael Owen, Frank Lampard, Peter Crouch, David James, Clark Carlisle, Robert Green and Wayne Bridge -all now in the Candidates Ruled Out section.
And our poll for the day saw 246 votes cast and finished with Danny Murphy taking a whopping 33% of them (82 votes). In second was ‘Other’ (11%, 26 Votes), with Kevin Davies (10%, 24 Votes) coming in third. A new poll is now open with new candidates added as well as those ruled out taken off. Time to get voting again! And remember, if you vote for ‘Other’ be sure to add who you think that is on the ‘Someone Else‘ page. I will then endeavour to put their profile together and add it for the following day.
