Nice one ‘Chriswtf‘ …spotted this interview today by Victoria Derbyshire on Radio 5 live with the Secret Footballer. No voice disguise/actor used it seems and the voice is unmistakably Dave Kitson.
Billed as a ‘Derbyshire Exclusive’, Kitson TSF talked to Victoria on BBC Radio 5 live today and in doing so has given the game away.
UPDATE: VICTORIA DERBYSHIRE HAS TOLD US ON TWITTER THAT IT WAS APPARENTLY AN ACTOR’S VOICE USED …coincidental that it sounds like Kitson
Dave Kitson had been most people’s favourite for a long time having finally ousted Danny Murphy from the the top spot a few months back.

GET IN!!!!
I still think it’s him!
I never heard the first part of the interview this morning but before the second part was played Ms. Derbyshire said that the interview was done under a disguised voice and then re-read by an actor
hate to burst the bubble but this does not sound like dave kitson

It does.
But i take the point about the voice actor… it sounded very fluid.
Yeah, she did. Think maybe Danny Murphy

Scroll down this article from december 2009 Kitson has with the guardian.

‘If I went back into my neighbourhood in a Porsche or a Bentley there would be hell to pay. That’s just cars. I have no jewellery. I don’t wear any chains or any watches. I wear plain clothes, no logos. I don’t have a boot deal – I refuse to have one.’
————————————————————————-He says the above in the book too saying he dare not drive a luxury car in his old neighbourhood’ as there would be ‘hell to pay’.He also states again he does not have a boot deal and hates jewellery.
It is for sure Dave Kitson.
In the book the author mentions beeing in Denmark as a kid.
Today danish television, Kanal 6, brought an interview with Dave Kitson where they, not directly asked to the book, but asked if he’s been in Denmark. He said yes, beeing there as a child.
The video where Dave Kitson admits to being in Denmark on vacation as a kid.

Apologies, it’s about 3:40 in.
1/Kitson admitted going denmark as a kid like in the book
2/Came to pro football late and did not have the usual route most young players have
3/Played in korea for reading 2007 and the book talks about it
4/3 french speaking black players at stoke
5/The valencia rebound shot told in book and found on video
6/A clubs record transfer aka stoke
7/Book says he dare not drive a luxury card or wear expensive watches and jewellery in the book and he also says this in a guardian article few years ago.
Look at the coincidences in all the above……………………
The link has been removed from the homepage of Danish “Kanal 6”.
Sheffield United and Dave Kitson wasn’t satisfied with the story.
There is link about it here:

I know it is in Danish, but for those who can’t translate it, the bottomline is that Sheffield United threatened with a lawsuit.
My guess was Kitson before I even searched for “who is the secret footballer” on google. I would not have picked danny murphy. This site is wrong though, you shouldn’t be trying to destroy the guy’s anonymity your no better than a common tabloid.
Dave kitson mentions being in Dubai, at the one&only spa, where a player had a liaison with another footballers wife in a pool, I can testify that in 2009 i saw Dave in Dubai and I remember looking on a website to find out who he is, because he looked familiar… while looking it turns out he’s a stoke player and stoke fans telling him happy birthday on ur holiday in Dubai.
Anyway it is not important who he is and it ruins the whole mystery about it. I realize that now.
Oh well, funny what a curious mind does. I hope he isn’t save kitson though.
I believe I’ve read about an elbow TSF (or one of his teammates??)got from John Terry. I can’t recall if he mentioned a red card for Terry after his action, but if so: Terry only had 5 sent-offs… If not, it can’t be that difficult to find a clear elbow given by Terry which wasn’t punished?
If you have a look at James Beattie’s profile on Linkedin, he is listed as Director of the Secret Footballer Ltd
Just putting it out there guys. I am 100% not the secret footballer.
Don’t worry i am not the secret footballer
