Parker at Newcastle with Souness and Kluivert, at Charlton under Curbs
So Curbs would be the manager who he played for for a long time who lost it? Trouble is Parker was only 23 when he left Charlton. TSF stated that this manager ‘lost it’ as TSF was becoming a senior player. If it were Parker would he have considered himself senior by then? Possibly, as he’d been there for so long.

he’s not married.
my bad, he is married, but he doesnt seem to have a daughter
wonder if maybe it was a figure of speech when he referred to his “daughter”. Also, would have played with Di Canio at Charlton in the 03/04 season.
The daughter thing could easily be a figure of speech. Definitely not enough to rule him out.
Definitely agree that the daughter reference isn’t enough to rule him out.
Number 10 could be Joe Cole or Glen Johnson who were both at Chelsea when he was.
The daughter comments have been taken in to account and changes made accordingly: https://www.whoisthesecretfootballer.co.uk/index.php/guess-who/
Personally I think the latest article makes Parker the most likely candidate, at least over Murphy. The article describes how sickened he was by how easily both sets of players went down and also by the play acting of some of Barcelona’s players. To me that indicates the person is someone who makes a lot of tackles, like Parker, and sees things from the perspective of a tackler rather than the tackled. Murphy, to my mind, is a more attacking, creative kind of midfielder to Parker, and has been critical of bad tackling in the past, which would indicate he sees things more from the perspective of the tackled rather than the tackler.
I think its Parker …. the manager whom players thought was trying to get sacked is more likely to be Ancelotti than Hodgson, Chelsea players lost respect after he was undermined during the wilkins affair and he has repeatedly stated it would’nt be a problem if he was sacked, understandable considering the size of the payoff and so much interference from chairman… Hodgson seemed desperate to make a go of it at liverpool and this would have been totally out of character for a Gentleman such as him.
Don’t think it can be Ancellotti. He’s never lost the dressing room at Chelsea despite the bad run. Chelsea players never backward in letting it be known when they have no confidence in the manager – eg Grant, Scolari. Hodgson may not have tried to lose matches – remember, all TSF’s friend said was that it had got so bad, the players even wondered whether he was trying to lose. Liverpool or Villa fit the bill
TSF tweeted – “Congratulations to Norwich City. Looking forward to seeing them in the Premier League. Good crowds at Carrow Road as I remember #ncfc”
Parker had a spell on loan at Norwich in 2000
Norwich were in the Premier League in the 2004/2005 season, so any player active then would have gotten at least one game there.
Reading the TSF tweets, he mentions that a friend told him that Christian Vieri had the best movement in a striker that he had ever seen. By deduction this means that his friend most likely either played with or against Vieri at some stage. Atletico Madrid 97-98 aside, this means that person would have Serie A experience. Somebody who would have seen Vieri up close and also very much in his prime was Robbie Keane whilst he was at Inter.
From a sociological perspective it would also fit that Keane was the origin of the Vieri comment. Few of the West Ham team have experience of playing at top clubs abroad. In a conversation about top players, Keane could demonstrate his wealth of experience (and hence his standing within the football social order) by singling out Vieri for praise and also adding a comment such as “well when I played for Inter Milan…’.
There are many other possible sources of the comment to which the TSF refers, however the possibility outlined above is one of the most feasible. The case for Scott Parker grows ever larger….
Also just noticed in another tweet that he refers to Dennis Rommedahl simply as ‘Dennis’. The two were colleagues at Charlton.
Yeah that Vieri comment could be anyone from JF Hasselbaink to a defender with Champions League/Uefa cup/International experience.
Another ‘for example’ would be 2002/3 Champions League 2nd group stage;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002–03_UEFA_Champions_League
Newcastle were drawn in the same group as Inter losing 4-1 at home and drawing 2-2 away, not sure if Vieri played both games but he scored in the 2nd one.
The Newcastle squad form that season was – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002–03_Newcastle_United_F.C._season
The obvious player who would still be there during the time Parker was at Newcastle is Shay Given, but there’s probably a couple more.
True, but he says crowds not crowd, possibly implying he’s been present at more than one game.
Scott never played with Kluivert he signed for Newcastle in the summer of 2005 at the same time as Kluivert’s contract finished
You’re right, thanks Chalky, updated above accordingly
TSF has previously talked about needing major hip and knee operations at the end of his career to correct prolonged problems and has referenced having a hip operation in the past. I can’t find any reference to Parker ever having any hip problems.
I remember Parker definitely had knee problems at NUFC. Had at least 1 op: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2330140/Ailing-Newcastle-lose-Parker.html
Just finished reading the chapter in the book where he talks about the team mate with a popstar girlfriend who was alleged to have slept with an opposition player. Cheryl Cole has been linked with Kieran Dyer, Ashley Cole and Titus Bramble. Scott Parker has played with all three of these. Cheryl Cole is definitely the popstar he’s talking about.
I’m pretty sure he was relegated on the last day with Charlton in the 1998/99 season. I was at the Southampton v Everton game that effectively relegated them;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998%E2%80%9399_Charlton_Athletic_F.C._season
Rommedahl was signed after Parker left.
In november 1996, Charlton played at Anfield in League Cup. At this time Scott Parker was playing for the young squad.
So it is all about figuring out who is the secret footballer? Has it been revealed yet? I’m in scott parker page so it that him?
