The latest article refers to the fact that there were only four English goalkeepers that started in the Premiership last weekend (two of whom have retired from internationals) and goes on to explore some possible reasons as to why England are seemingly lacking in the area.
No real clues this week but it’s an article that has provoked some interesting debate amongst the comments, rather than just the usual identity guessing.

I posted some comments in the Poll article but really should have posted them here.
I’ve had a suspicion for a while about who TSF is and this article has hardened it very dramatically as the name I have is an English goalkeeper and from this article I’m presuming he’s one as well. I’ve been looking at the clues to see if my suspicion fits and I believe the name I have matches most of them.
He joined Manchester City in the season they were relegated from the Premiership (2000/1) and therefore was involved in a last day relegation. They came back up the following season when Keegan took over so has played for a newly promoted club. However, he was also on loan at Stoke when they were promoted.
The Paolo mantioned is assumed to be Di Canio but another Paolo (Wanchope) played for Keegan’s City team at that time. Keegan was seen as “great before losing it” and eventually lost the dressing room. Part of that was believed to be friction between English & foreign (mainly French-speaking) players. These included Anelka, Distin, Sommeil, Benarbia, Foe, Mettomo & Belmadi. I’m sure I’ve seen a comment from a City player of that time about too much Fremch being used on the training field.
Therefore I believe it’s Carlo Nash, who is currently at Stoke therefore still a Premiership player (albeit the 3rd choice keeper). However he did play in a League cup tie early in 2011.
Nash (a boyhood Everton fan) also played at Everton, which would account for his Merseyside-based friend. Everton are in as much of a mess as Liverpool were under Hodgson and quite a few Everton fans think Moyes won’t walk but is desperate for Kenwright to sack him. He therefore plays a very conservative 4-5-1 system even at home.
Nash married his long-term girlfriend and they have a daughter. They also run a publishing company.
It’s an article about goalkeepers, and it doesn’t mention David James as a successful English keeper. Considering TSF can write, I’d suggest it’s a humble Jamo.
