This week’s article is focused on the latest episode in the Wayne Rooney V Manchester United drama. At first glance it appears there’s nothing in this article consisting of a clue to The Secret Footballer’s identity other than the blatantly obvious one that TSF is not Wayne Rooney. This is nothing new however. We’ve known since The Secret Footballer’s article in the Guardian in October 2011 that he’s not the frustratingly inconsistent England man.

TSF also makes clear his view that he thinks the footballing media are hoping to see David Moyes fail as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor.
